Armed with a little knowledge and the desire to be "dimple" free, there are cellulite home remedies you can use that really work, don't cost the earth, and are easily available.
There are 2 main approaches to consider. You can either approach the cellulite from the "outside", which means you work directly on to the skin, or you can approach it from the "inside", using herbs, diet changes etc.
Some approaches are a merge of both, like combining relevant exercise at the area concerned with appropriate breathing and a meditative state of mind. Think chi kung (qigong).
Most people tend to concentrate on 3 methods, which are changing their diet, taking exercise and rubbing in creams, as a kind of "cellulite busting package." This way uses both of the approaches mentioned above i.e. “inside” and “outside” methods.
Let's briefly look at these 3 methods:
The diet approach tends to focus on reducing foods which are high in saturated fats and trans fatty acids. So the advise is usually to grill foods instead of frying them etc. Other diet changes are to drink plenty of fresh water, avoid sweets and cut out coffees, teas and sodas.
A diet change will certainly help, in most cases at least. However, it is not normally just your diet that causes the cellulite.
The exercise advise is generally directed at reducing the fat at the affected areas. Common examples include walking, jogging, swimming, aerobics, strength training etc. For the backside in particular, they advise squats or lunges.
Lastly, creams, while not able to remove the cellulite, can smooth out your skin and reduce the appearance of cellulite. Naturally some work better than others at this.
Now, you can take those clues and go out and begin your path to being cellulite free, but there are some thoughts I want to share with you which you should consider before you do:
Exercise can actually make the problem worse, because the nature of cellulite is that it sits underneath the skin, which means it is hard(er) to remove than normal "fat." However, the improved circulation that exercise brings does improve the appearance of cellulite. So simply doing exercise is not the answer, though it a roundabout way it can help. I strongly advise you research this further before you implement exercise.
The diet changes help because they reduce the toxins in the body. One major reason this is important is because your liver is one of the biggest factors directly related to cellulite. Seriously, do your research on this. Detoxifying your liver is using the "inside" or "internal" approach, which is generally more effective than external methods.
The creams, while helping to reduce the appearance, do only that - reduce the appearance. So feel free to use them to "conceal" the areas, but be sure to work on the root problem while you do so.
To finish this article, I would just like to say that there are indeed home remedies to combating cellulite, and many using them are succeeding. Do your research, get educated beyond the hype of the latest creams and diet fads, and you will be in a much better position to choose where you go from there.
